'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Future success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could begin in the near future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring record continues to astound
